Věra Jandourková (*1948) is a Czech illustrator and artist. She graduated from tsecondary art school in Turnov. Since the 1970s, she has regularly exhibited her work in both collective and solo exhibitions. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with children’s magazines such as Sluníčko, Mateřídouška, and Čtyřlístek, as well as the music publishing house Supraphon. In 1991, she published the book Cesta k Betlému (The Path to Bethlehem), which was awarded the “Zlatá stuha” (Golden Ribbon) in the fine arts category. Her illustrations for Božena Němcová’s fairy tale Chytrá horákyně (The Clever Country Girl) caught the attention of the Princess of Norway, who included them in a collection of fairy tales from around the world. A special, hand-written and illustrated edition of The Little Prince was published in November 2016 by the Práh publishing house.
